The European Convention of Human Rights has been protecting the human rights of over 830 million people since 70 years. It is an essential fundamental component of the European legal framework. A beacon for our European values. At the occasion of its 70th anniversary today, we praise it and remind member states, that the fulfilment of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights is an absolute obligation, a red line that shouldn't be crossed.
