Born in Trento (1956) Michele Nicoletti studied philosophy at the University of Bologna (Dr. Phil. 1980) and then, as a research fellow of the Istituto Trentino di Cultura, in Trento, Innsbruck and Munich. From 1991 to 2000 he worked as a researcher and then as a professor at the University of Padua and in 2001 he became Full Professor for Political Philosophy at the University of Trento.
